Hvor langt er vi?

Som et bevidst brand har Greenbark netop begyndt sin rejse mod bæredygtighed. I øjeblikket lægger vi vægt på nøje udvalgte produkter, fremstillet af genanvendte, økologiske, naturlige eller certificerede materialer fra miljø- og etisk ansvarlige mærker. Vi benytter fragtfirmaer, der prioriterer bæredygtighed, og sender vores ordrer i genanvendt eller genbrugsemballage. Vores webshop er designet med fokus på brugervenlighed, hvilket gør det let for vores kunder at finde hundeprodukter, der matcher deres værdier, ved hjælp af filtre og værdi-ikoner. Derudover arbejder vi konstant på at forbedre vores kommunikationsstrategi for at skabe større gennemsigtighed om materialerne og processerne bag de produkter, vi fører. Dette giver vores kunder mulighed for at træffe velinformerede beslutninger i overenstemmelse med deres værdier og deres hunds behov.

Vi erkender dog, at vi stadig har en lang vej foran os. En af udfordringerne, vi står over for, er, at certificeringer og livscyklusanalyser, som begge er både dyre og komplekse, ofte ikke er mulige for alle miljø- og etisk ansvarlige mærker at opnå for deres enkelte produkter eller forretningsdrift. Dette kan gøre det svært for os at vurdere den fulde bæredygtighed af de produkter, vi indkøber, og sikre, at de lever op til vores høje standarder, selvom de er fremstillet af genanvendte, økologiske, naturlige eller certificerede materialer, der indikerer en vis grad af bæredygtighed.

Desuden fører mange af vores leverandører et omfattende udvalg af forskellige mærker og produkter, hvoraf nogle af disse måske desværre ikke lever op til vores høje standarder for miljømæssig og etisk ansvarlighed. Som en voksende virksomhed med begrænset indflydelse og forhandlingskraft kan det være svært for os at håndhæve vores ønskede leverandøradfærd til fulde.

Hvor er vi på vej hen?

Som en lille startup er vi dedikerede til at efterlade et meningsfuldt aftryk. Vi har sat os et mål om at opnå B-Corp certificering, selvom vi er opmærksomme på, at processen kan være kompleks og omkostningsfuld. For at sikre en gnidningsløs overgang har vi besluttet os for at fokusere på konkrete skridt, der er i overensstemmelse med B-Corp standarder, samtidig med at vi nøje overholder certificeringskravene. På denne måde sigter vi mod at forberede os bedst muligt til den kommende certificeringsproces.

Når det handler om ansvarlig styring af vores værdikæder, lader vi os inspirere af OECD’s seks-trinsramme for Due Diligence-vejledning for ansvarlig virksomhedsadfærd.

I 2024 fortsætter vi vores indsats for at forbedre vores kommunikationsstrategi og øge gennemsigtigheden for vores kunder. Vi ser vores rejse mod bæredygtighed som en løbende proces, der sigter mod at styrke vores kunders evne til at træffe informerede og bevidste valg, som matcher deres værdier og gavner deres hunde. Vi vil fortsat prioritere at styrke vores indsats for omhyggeligt at følge OECD’s retningslinjer for ansvarlig virksomhedsadfærd. Konkret vil vi fokusere på de første tre trin i rammen: 1) at integrere ansvarlig forretningsadfærd i vores politikker og ledelsessystemer, 2) at identificere og vurdere skadelige virkninger i vores drift, forsyningskæder og forretning samt 3) at stoppe, forebygge eller mildne skadelige virkninger. Vores mål er at fremme en kultur præget af gennemsigtighed og ansvarlighed i hele vores forretning, hvilket vil give både vores kunder og vores virksomhed mulighed for at gøre en positiv forskel i verden omkring os.
